Storytellers - Writers

Suzy Perrino and Anji Cornette are two best friends and former college roommates from Carnegie Mellon University. Trained musicians and writers, the two have each worked on the business side of the arts and entertainment industry for over 30 years.

Anji has executive produced over 1,700 dramatized audiobooks. She has been in rock bands as a singer, keyboardist and an award-winning songwriter with her band’s music scoring sync licensing deals for several television shows including American Restoration and This is Life with Lisa Ling. She was a GRAMMY Voting Member from 2013 until 2018.

Suzanne executive produces educational and community programming with symphony orchestras, creating engaging experiences for over 1 million children and families amplifying diverse voices and perspectives.

Since 2021, Suzy and Anji have been writing screenplays and novels. They are currently editing their first novel in their Sweet Mix Series while they write and edit their multiple screenplays. Suzy and Anji participate regularly in an active writer’s group and continue to hone the craft of screenwriting through their mentors Tim Albaugh, Executive Producer at Royal Viking Entertainment and Co-owner of ProPath Screenwriting, and Zac Hug, Hallmark Screenwriter.

Their original SWEET MIX Rom Coms feature strong female leads inspired by their own life experiences. Each story promotes themes of persistence and woman empowerment, featuring dynamic, captivating characters that explore diverse cultures, career/life challenges, and adventurous love.

Having worked in the fields of music and audio recording, they’ve engaged with some very colorful artists and managers, which have inspired them to create stories and characters that reflect their vivid and multi-dimensional lives - adding a spicy twist to a traditional Rom Com.

Finally, this writing team has managed multi-million dollar budgets and projects in the music entertainment field for three decades, so keeping costs in check is second-nature. Small budget, big ideas, no problem!

Suzanne lives with her husband and two children in Pittsburgh, PA. Anji lives with her husband in the Baltimore/D.C. area. The arts are core to their writing and daily lives, and they are relentless advocates for arts access for all.
